Recommandations concernant l’usage des marques Blizzard Entertainment
Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. (“Blizzard”) is the owner of the trademarks below (the “Blizzard Marks”). Blizzard grants you the right to use the Blizzard Marks on the condition you follow the guidelines below.
Logo and Trademark Guidelines
- The Blizzard Marks may only be used: (1) in connection with the activities listed in the User Generated Content section of Blizzard.com; AND (2) when the applicable Blizzard policy associated with that activity (the “Activity Policy”) specifically references your right to use the Blizzard Marks pursuant to this policy. For instance, the fan site, community eSports tournament and custom maps policies all permit the use of Blizzard Marks pursuant to this policy.
- You may use the Blizzard Marks only for non-commercial purposes, except as permitted by the applicable Activity Policy.
- The Blizzard Marks may only be used in connection with high quality materials (e.g., websites, custom maps, etc.).
- Use the appropriate trademark symbol (™, ®) listed below the first time that a Blizzard Mark appears in your material (e.g. “Blizzard®”).
- You should provide credit to Blizzard by using the credit lines associated with the Blizzard Marks that you use (see below).
- Capitalize the “C” in StarCraft when you use the StarCraft trademark.
- Do Not:
- alter a Blizzard logo other than to adjust the overall size of the logo;
- modify or alter a Blizzard Mark or logo or use them in a way that confuses Blizzard or its games with another brand, game, or game developer/publisher.
- use a Blizzard Mark in a plural or possessive form;
- use a Blizzard Mark or logo or any other confusingly similar marks on any apparel, product, toy, or any other merchandise;
- use a Blizzard Mark in conjunction with your name or any other trademark or trade name, e.g. “Acme Warcraft”.
- You may not use the Blizzard Marks in a way that is deceptive, harmful, obscene or disparaging to others.
- You may not present or feature a Blizzard Mark on websites containing content or advertising associated with pornography, gambling, or illegal activities.
- use a Blizzard Mark in the domain name of your website's URL;
- use the World Championship Series logo unless you have signed a World Championship Series tournament agreement with Blizzard;
- apply for trademark registration of a product, service, etc., with a name that includes a Blizzard Mark or, any variation thereof; and
- use a Blizzard Mark in a manner that, in Blizzard’s sole opinion, is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing, tortious, disparaging, abusive, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate.
- use a Blizzard Mark in any manner than implies a relationship with, sponsorship, or endorsement by Blizzard, unless otherwise authorized by Blizzard in writing.
- Guidelines specifically for Custom Maps:
- The following are the only trademarks allowed to be used in association with Custom Maps: Blizzard®, Warcraft®, StarCraft®, Diablo® and Hearthstone™.
- Don’t use a Blizzard Mark alone in the title of your map (e.g., Diablo).
- If your map has a credits section you must include an attribution of Blizzard’s ownership of the Blizzard Marks, e.g. “Blizzard is a registered trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.”.

Blizzard’s Trademark Rights. When you use Blizzard’s Marks, whether in whole or in part, you are acknowledging that Blizzard is the sole owner of the trademark, and that you will not in any way interfere with Blizzard’s rights in the trademark. All goodwill that is derived from your use of any part of a Blizzard Mark exclusively inures to the benefit of, and belongs to, Blizzard. Lastly, with the exception of the limited rights to use the Blizzard Marks that are permitted under these Guidelines, you understand and agree that you are not granted any other rights of any kind, by implication or otherwise, to use the Blizzard Marks.
Consent to use Blizzard’s trademarks may be withdrawn by Blizzard at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.
