Who Are We?
We're Blizzard's research team. We are a curious and inquisitive bunch of game lovers, and we've dedicated our career to giving an objective voice to our players from around the world. We come from a diverse background but are united in our vision to hear and learn from our players' experiences. Your honest and candid feedback is our path to identifying problems in the experience of our games. Every voice we hear is an opportunity to make the gaming experience better for everyone.
FAQ
What should I expect after I sign-up?
I don't play Blizzard games (or games in general). Should I sign-up?
Can I tell my friends, share online, what I see or do in a study?
Nope. We know that it's exciting to be part of something like this, but we're only able to keep doing it because of your discretion. If details about what you experience leak then it's a disappointment for everyone and it makes it hard for us to keep doing these studies.
I've been contacted about a study! Now what?
You should have received details about the date and time of the test and directions on how to connect with us in the initial email. However, if anything is unclear or you have additional questions, reach out to us at playtest@blizzard.com
I can't make it to the study anymore, what do I do?
Sign-in to the participant page and select the study that you have been scheduled for. From there you can let us know that you can't make it. Alternatively, email us at playtest@blizzard.com and let us know. There is no penalty if you can't make it, we know that life happens. With luck we may be able to reschedule you for a different time or we'll contact you again for a new study.
I'm no longer interested in participating. How do I opt out?
We're sad to see you go, but the process is quick and painless. Sign into the research portal and follow the 'forget me' steps provided.
Is this a job, or can it lead to a job at Blizzard?
This is not a job and completely voluntary. We do not use your participation in these studies for recruiting or career consideration.
Will I get a tour or meet the design team if I'm onsite?
Unfortunately, no. If you are invited to an onsite study, you'll meet the research team and stay in our corner of the campus. If you would like to sign-up for a tour, please check here: https://www.blizzard.com/company/contact.
