April Fools' Archive

April Fools' is one of our favorite times of the year...

Almost every year™, Blizzard takes some extra time to devote to our favorite web holiday, April Fools'! To commemorate the occasion, we've created an archive of all the jokes we've done over more than a decade. More than a few of those jokes have turned out to be true! Use the menu system to look through our timeline of jokes, and select an image to view that joke in its original glory, as it actually happened in history.

StarCraft II: Warhound Added as Skin Replacement for Workers
After putting some more thought into it, we realized that our favorite race (Protoss) was getting the short end of the stick because it was the only race without the Warhound. Diablo III: New Class: Archivist
We're really excited to finally announce the Archivist! His design stems from you guys, the players, so it's really about "fan service", if you will. At BlizzCon and WWI we were receiving question after question -- "Can we play as Deckard Cain?" and "Please let me play as Deckard Cain" and "Deckard Cain should be a playable class" and on and on. So we thought, obviously we can't have you play as Cain -- he's an important part of the story already -- but what if we take the essence that is Cain... 'eau de Deckard'... and make a new type of character class? We're really proud to be able to offer a first glimpse to you today, and say thank you for your loyal support.
