What is the Worldwide Invitational?
The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational is a public event that allows the company to connect with gamers around the world in a celebration of the Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft game universes and competitive Blizzard Entertainment gaming. This year's event took place in Seoul, South Korea.
What events were held?
This year's Worldwide Invitational featured a number of e-sports tournaments, including the regional finals for both Warcraft III Season 5 and the first season of World of Warcraft's Arena Tournament. Invitational StarCraft and Warcraft III tournaments also pitted some of Korea's finest players against tough international challengers.
Who attended?
The event was open to gamers of all ages and it was completely free to attend.

In addition to being the location of the announcement of StarCraft II, this year's event featured developer panels, live entertainment, and a wide variety of fun activities for attendees to enjoy.
