Software Engineer, Web

Blizzard Entertainment seeks a software engineer experienced in developing web-based applications for our internal and external websites. The programmer would be responsible for creating new and improving existing applications in a high-load, high-availability environment. The ideal candidate would be experienced in Java, web-related technologies, and relational database design.

Requirements

• 3+ years web programming experience, including experience with Java, servlets, and JSPs
• Experience in relational database design and SQL
• Knowledge of web related technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML)
• Passion for games

• Familiar with common Java Web programming frameworks (e.g. Struts, Spring)
• Experience with developing localized Web sites/applications
• Experience developing high performance applications in clustered environments
• Strong XML/XSLT, AJAX, and/or JSON skills
• Experience with credit card processing/ecommerce systems
