Programmers

Blizzard programmers work with game designers and artists to engineer virtual worlds that millions of gamers enjoy for many years.

Qualities we look for: We are looking for candidates who are organized, self-disciplined, and hard-working. Additionally, they must also have excellent written and oral communication skills, excel in a team environment, and have a strong desire to learn and improve their craft. Blizzard values strong C++ programmers with experience developing, debugging and optimizing one or more specific areas such as AI, gameplay logic, pathing, Windows/OSX system programming, DirectX/OpenGL, shaders, animation, sound, UI, networking, physics, scripting, automation tools, Max/Maya plugins, content pipeline tools, and custom content creation tools. Candidates must have a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms and a strong math background (logic, linear algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability are pluses). Familiarity with Microsoft Developer Studio and Microsoft Excel are also pluses.

How to get in: Write games and content tools in your free time.
