Senior Graphic Designer

Blizzard Entertainment's marketing team is looking for an extraordinary graphic designer with strong concepting skills who has worked for at least five years art-directing (and manipulating, modifying, finessing, colorizing, etc.) keyart in the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate should have an awareness of current trends in marketing, web communication, and new media. Strong communication skills are required for presenting concepts and art-directing illustration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, contribute to, and oversee packages, logos, print ad campaigns, style guides, merchandise, trade show graphics, and other projects.
• Maintain creative involvement with projects from beginning to end.
• Collaborate with marketing team and creative director to launch major game titles.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of design principles and typography
• Strong conceptual design skills and the ability to execute designs efficiently and at a high level of quality
• Expert-level knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design tools
• Knowledge of image formats and printed media
• Understanding of the print production process and ability to devise new and unusual print solutions for design and advertising
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong understanding (and opinions) of effective design and advertising solutions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once from different sources of accountability
• Working knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment's intellectual properties, including gameplay of Blizzard Entertainment titles
• A passion for games, movies, graphic novels, science fiction, and other elements of pop culture

Pluses:

• Knowledge of HTML and various webpage construction tools
• Knowledge of 3D rendering applications
• A passion for story and art
