Associate IT Project Manager

Blizzard Entertainment has an opening for an experienced associate IT project manager with enterprise service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.
• Lead and drive project status meetings.
• Develop and review complex technical project plans.
• Deliver regular reports of capacity and project status to upper management.
• Coordinate and report the response to any incidents or outages.
• Work with department leads to determine resources necessary to see projects through to completion.
• Contribute to a positive work environment.
• Define scope and solutions to complicated and ambiguous operational problems.
• Handle other duties as may be assigned.

• Extensive firsthand experience with Blizzard Entertainment games
• Strong passion for both playing and providing a world class service
• Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative to produce nothing but success
• Capacity and desire to learn all facets of the game
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with personnel of all disciplines, including programming, design, production, quality assurance, sales, and marketing
• Experience managing technical engineering teams and delivering high quality products on time
• Experience with establishing and monitoring efficient operational processes
• Exceptional scheduling experience with skill in foreseeing potential problems before they occur and executing appropriate courses of action
• Experience with IT infrastructure design and deployment
• 5+ years experience in project/operational management
• 5+ years experience in the IT service industry

Pluses

• Experience with SOX compliance and change management
• Foreign language skills--French or Korean
