Cinematic FX Artist
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented FX Artist to assist our Cinematics team in creating the next generation of our award-winning pre-rendered movies!
The Cinematic FX Artist will be able to research, conceptualize and animate natural and fantastical effects. You must be driven to create compelling effects and have the ability to optimize effects to achieve the highest visual quality.

Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and implement a wide variety of special effects.
- Create particle, geometry, atmospheric and texture effects that simulate explosions, muzzle flashes, smoke, fire, steam, fog, etc.
- Work closely with programming team to implement effects.
- Work in a dynamic team environment where individual effort is critical to a successful project.
Requirements
- 4+ years creating CG special effects in either live action or animated film world.
- Expert-level skills in 3D software such as Maya or 3DS Max.
- Advanced-level skills in 2D compositing software such as Shake, Fusion or After Effects
- Expert-level skills in particle systems, simulations and atmospheric effects.
- Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
- Ability to design, self-direct, and organize your work.
