Environment Texture Artist
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly skilled environment texture artist. The ideal candidate has experience painting textures for a diverse visual range of 3D environments. A solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential. The environment texture artist must have exceptional skill in creating stylized hand-painted textures, have a working knowledge of how to model in-game environments, and be well-versed in related tools -- Maya, Photoshop, etc. The ideal candidate also works well in an environment with peers who are passionate about making great games.

Requirements
- Experience with Photoshop and Maya (or equivalent 2D and 3D programs)
- Superior eye for light, shade, color and detail in creating texture maps
- An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling
- Self-driven, good communicator and a great team player
- A passion for games
- Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks - illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, concept drawing
- Able to work full-time in the Irvine area
Plusses
- 2+ years experience modeling and texturing environments for computer/videogames
- Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as an environment or texture artist
- Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing and environmental and/or architectural illustration
- A passion for developing online games
- Understanding of Blizzard's visual style and a passion to push it to the next level
