Associate Software Engineer, Web
Blizzard Entertainment seeks a software engineer experienced in developing web-based applications for our internal and external websites. The programmer would be responsible for creating new and improving existing applications in a high-load, high-availability environment. The ideal candidate would be experienced in Java, web-related technologies, and relational database design.
Requirements
- 1-3 years web programming experience, including experience with Java, servlets, and JSPs
- Knowledge of web related technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML)
- Passion for games
Plusses:
- Experience in relational database design and SQL
- Experience with common Java Web programming frameworks (e.g. Struts, Spring)
- Experience integrating open source components into custom projects
- Experience with developing localized Web sites/applications
- Experience developing high performance applications in clustered environments
- Experience with credit card processing/transactional systems
