Billing Programmer

Billing programmers are responsible for creating and extending the tools, libraries, and interfaces that are used in Blizzard's worldwide billing platform.

Qualities we look for: We are looking for candidates who have worked with one or more computer languages and are interested in working with various application servers and databases. We are also looking for candidates who are hard-working and dependable, who have a strong desire to learn, and who have an extra-curricular interest in technology. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a passion for games.

Here are the 'ideal' skills that a candidate should know.

  • Knowledge in C/C++ programming
  • Understanding of relational databases and server-side database scripting languages such as PL/SQL and/or T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting terminology and methodologies
  • Knowledge of third party billing services such as credit authorization organizations and PayPal.
  • Data mining and reporting skills
  • Knowledge with secure interfaces
How to get in: You should have a solid understanding of database technologies, including SQL and PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-load and high-profile billing systems and will be knowledgeable about third-party billing services (e.g. PayPal, PaymentTech, etc). Attention to detail and the ability to function efficiently in a rapidly changing environment are must-haves. Experience with European payment systems is a definite plus.
