Accounting Manager

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an experienced accounting manager to join our global finance team. This position will focus on administration of Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls and audits as well as the management of all general accounting functions. The ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of accounting, financial, and internal control principles, auditing experience, and a strong background in GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls and audits.
• Manage all general accounting functions.
• Use independent judgment to analyze and resolve accounting issues.
• Act as primary liaison for tax-based matters.
• Manage quarterly review and annual audit.
• Help guide the company's account policies and procedures.
• Identify, communicate, and recommend corrective actions to ensure internal controls are working properly.
• Review global month-end closing processes, including coordinating efforts with foreign-based accounting departments.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience that includes a strong background in GAAP, internal controls, and auditing
• Solid understanding of accounting, financial, and internal control principles
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently, and while meeting deadlines

Pluses:

• Familiarity with IFRS
• Experience working for a public company
• Audit experience with a public accounting firm
• Passion for games
