Game Centers
Thank you for your interest in using Blizzard Entertainment software at your game center. To provide location-based-entertainment (LBE)
sites such as yours with a legally compliant way to charge your customers to play Blizzard games, we have established the LBE License
program.
The basic license that is provided with the retail version of our software allows for personal and private use only. In order to operate
any of our titles for profit, you must purchase a commercial exploitation license. Once there is any kind of for-profit charge applied
to the operation of one of our software titles, whether for time on the game, time on a computer, a club membership, a door charge, a
tournament fee, or anything of like nature where our software is included, a commercial exploitation license is required for your site.
The benefits of purchasing an LBE license are:
- Low cost (pre-paid annual payments, all sales final)
- Limited free advertising
- Technical support
- Merchandising kit
- Direct relationship with Blizzard Entertainment
- Possibility of becoming an official beta test site
Free Advertising
- Official LBE sites are displayed on Blizzard's Web site (175,000+ hits/day)
- Direct link from Blizzard Entertainment's Web site to the licensee's Web site
Merchandising Kit
- 2 posters per licensed game, when available
- Courtesy copy of each licensed game
- 2 game-specific T-shirts (or Blizzard T-shirts if game-specific T-shirts unavailable)
If you are interested in purchasing a site license, please contact us at sitelicense@blizzard.com
for pricing. Once you have reviewed our pricing, in order for a site license to be prepared, you must provide the following information:
- Company name and address
- Phone and fax numbers
- Name of contact person
- Email address
- Web-site URL (if available)
- Name and address of game center (if different from company name/address)
- Type of license requested
- Number of games you would like to purchase
Please note that this program is for game centers operating in NORTH AMERICA ONLY! If you have a game center that is not
in North America and are interested in operating a Blizzard Entertainment software title for profit, please write to the
appropriate international contact for your region.
