BlizzCon is a celebration of the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the communities that surround them. This two-day event will contain Q&A panels featuring the developers of World of Warcraft and StarCraft: Ghost, social events for fans and developers to meet one another, and hands-on gameplay featuring your favorite Blizzard games. A closing night concert featuring a to-be-announced band will bring BlizzCon 2005 to its close.
Where and when is BlizzCon?
The event will take place on October 28 and October 29 at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. The hours of operation are 10 AM to 10 PM PST on Friday and Saturday. The closing night concert will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center.
What does a BlizzCon ticket cost?
Each BlizzCon ticket costs $120, not including website surcharge fees.
Tickets are non-transferable, and Blizzard reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who violates this policy.
Where can I buy BlizzCon tickets?
To attend BlizzCon, you must purchase tickets in advance through the
BlizzCon Ticket Web Site. Tickets will be made available beginning on July 21, 2005, at 8 AM PDT (11AM EST). There will be a four (4) ticket limit per person.
Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until they are sold out, though Blizzard reserves the right to sell additional tickets in the future.
Will each attendee who purchases a ticket receive a personalized BlizzCon badge?
We will be able to provide a personalized BlizzCon badge for each attendee if you follow these directions when purchasing your BlizzCon tickets:
- Prior to the date BlizzCon tickets go on sale, make sure that for each attendee you have the first & last name, World of Warcraft character name and World of Warcraft server name. If the attendee does not subscribe to World of Warcraft, you may enter just the 1st & last name.
- Enter this information into the "optional" fields on the BlizzCon ticket purchasing page.
- Personalized badges will be waiting for you at will-call.
If you prefer to leave these fields blank, the BlizzCon badge for that attendee will not be personalized.
What do I get for the cost of a ticket?
Each BlizzCon Full-Show ticket includes a BlizzCon badge that grants you access to BlizzCon and one (1) BlizzCon concert ticket that grants you entry to the BlizzCon closing-night concert featuring The Offspring. Each Exhibit-Only ticket grants you the same access as the Full-Show ticket minus the concert ticket.
Attendees will also get a BlizzCon Goody Bag containing exclusive swag, including a World of Warcraft in-game pet and more!
Please be aware that transportation and accommodations are not included with the cost of any BlizzCon ticket.
Is BlizzCon open to attendees outside the United States and Canada?

Can I bring a videocamera / camcorder into the BlizzCon Exhibit Halls and the Concert Arena?
Video cameras are permitted in the BlizzCon Exhibit Halls, but are not permitted in the Arena where the BlizzCon Finale Concert will be held. We suggest that if you are bringing a video camera to BlizzCon, you plan ahead and find some place to store it (such as your hotel room or vehicle) prior to entering the Arena. Blizzard is not responsible for lost or stolen cameras.
I'm planning on wearing a costume to BlizzCon. Are there any items I cannot bring in to the event?
Costumes may not include or otherwise utilize any edged weapons (such as knives, daggers, swords), firearms of
any kind including airguns, long bows, crossbows, or any other type of projectile weapon regardless of whether
it is unloaded or nonfunctional; 'actual' clubs, maces, or other 'crushing weapons.' Acceptable costume 'weapon props'
will be limited to air filled or soft plastic swords, daggers, maces or clubs, and wooden staves that are not shod
with metal.
Can I change the character name or realm name on my BlizzCon badge?
Unfortunately, we are unable to change information on badges at this time. Each BlizzCon badge is being pre-printed and assembled into a registration envelope with a few other items for you to pick-up at Will-Call.
I purchased a BlizzCon Show-Pass, how do I get my concert ticket?
BlizzCon attendees who purchased the BlizzCon Show-Pass ($120 each) will pick up their registration envelopes from BlizzCon will-call by showing their credit card of purchase. The registration envelope will contain a badge, badge holder, and concert-ticket voucher for each ticket purchased.
Attendees should take the voucher to the concert-arena box office windows and exchange it for a concert ticket. Attendees who opted-in and won standing-room floor spots will have a specific voucher in their registration envelope that can be redeemed for a general admission floor concert ticket. All other vouchers can be redeemed for concert tickets with assigned seats; however, if any floor spots remain available, attendees with assigned seats can exchange their tickets for those spots.
If you are interested in sitting with certain other people in particular, such as friends or family who traveled to BlizzCon separately, we recommend that you visit the concert-arena box office as a group to redeem your concert-ticket vouchers together, which will greatly improve your chances of being able to sit with others in your group. Otherwise, the only other option for sitting together as a group at the concert is to exchange seats with other concert attendees who are willing to do so.
Arena Box Office window hours of operations are as follows:
Thursday, October 27, 11am-7pm
Friday, October 28, 10am-10pm
Saturday, October 29, 10am-8pm
I purchased a Full-Show pass to BlizzCon but will be unable to attend the concert. Can I exchange my Full-Show pass for an Exhibit-Only pass?
If you want to exchange your Full-Show pass for an Exhibit-Only pass and forfeit your concert ticket, please call Blizzard
customer support at 800-953-SNOW. You must have the order number from your original order, which was provided on the
confirmation page or confirmation email you received after your original purchase. Our customer support team will then
credit the $35 difference to the credit card of purchase for each Full-Show pass exchanged for an Exhibit-Only pass.
Your order can only be changed once, and no refunds beyond the $35 downgrade difference will be issued.
Any Full-Show passes that become available as a result of an exchange can be purchased for $120 via the ticketing
website (please see www.BlizzCon.com for ticket availability). These Full-Show passes will include a ticket to the
closing-night concert featuring The Offspring.
PLEASE NOTE: There are only a limited number of Exhibit-Only passes that have been reserved for this downgrade option.
The cutoff date for exchanging a Full-Show pass for an Exhibit-Only pass and receiving a partial refund is the date at
which this limited supply of Exhibit-Only passes has been exhausted, or 12:00 PM PDT on October 14, 2005 -- whichever
comes first. Furthermore, at 12:00 PM PDT on October 14, 2005, online sales of both Exhibit-Only and Full-Show passes,
should any of either remain available, will close.
Where and when can I pick up my Goody Bag?
Attendees will be able to pick up their goody bags at a designated area on the show floor. The goody bag redemption area will
be open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday, October 28, and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday, October 29.
What time do the Costume, Dance-Off, Movie, and Original Song contests start on Friday night?
The last Q&A panel on Friday in Hall B ends at 6pm, and the contests begin on the Hall B stage at 7pm.
When and where will the Cocktails & Contests event take place? Can I attend the event if I am under 21?
On Friday night at 7pm, Hall B will change over from the main panel room into the Cocktails & Contests room. All
attendees regardless of age can attend. Cash bars in dedicated beer gardens will be serving alcohol to those 21 and over.
Concession stands will serve food and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be areas for attendees to mingle with Blizzard
staff and fellow gamers while the contests will be taking place live onstage.
Anyone underage who is caught drinking by the convention center's security staff will lose their badge and access to BlizzCon.
Will anyone be filming the contests and other activities at BlizzCon?
BlizzCon is a public event, and members of the press and Blizzard's video crews will be filming the events, people, and attractions throughout the show. As part of your admission to BlizzCon, you consent to your image being filmed and used for publicity or commercial purposes by Blizzard Entertainment or the press without further notice to you.
Does my badge allow me to leave and return on the same day?
Yes, once you have picked up your badge, you can enter and exit the convention at will during both days of the show.
Will there be a time limit at the computers?
For the computers featuring the World of Warcraft expansion set, we will have one-hour time limits, which will allow more people to have a chance to experience the sneak-peak content.
What time does the concert start?
Arena doors open at 6:30pm on Saturday, and the show will kick off around 8pm. Following performances by Level 60 Elite Tauren Chieftain and comedian Christian Finnegan, The Offspring will take the stage and bring BlizzCon to its close.
Will there be food available at BlizzCon? Am I allowed to bring my own food or beverages to the event?
Food and beverages are available from concession stands in the convention center. Per convention center policy, you cannot bring your own food/beverage into the show.
I read the FAQ about weapon, costume, and food/beverage limitations when entering BlizzCon (exhibit hall). Are there any other limitations?
Attendees will not be allowed to bring weapons (see costume contest FAQ for details), fireworks, personal computers/laptops (credentialed press excluded), glass, bottles, cans, or large containers into BlizzCon.
Aside from not being allowed to bring a videocamera or sound-recording device into the arena (where the concert will take place), are there any other restrictions?
No weapons (real or otherwise), fireworks, snap-on camera lenses, wireless phones (turned on), personal computers/laptops,
glass, bottles, cans, large containers, backpacks, goody bag, or BlizzCon store bags are allowed into the arena.
A bag-storage area will be available in the Hall A lobby from 4pm onwards on Saturday, though we recommend storing your
valuables in your hotel room or automobile.
Will I be able to buy a BlizzCon ticket at the door on October 28th or October 29th?
We would have liked to have made some tickets available for walk-up guests at the Anaheim convention center, but demand
to attend BlizzCon has completely exceeded our capacity for the show, and tickets are completely sold out.
Unfortunately, this means that we will not be selling any tickets at the door.
